First ever Veterans Concert raises money for local Legions

The first ever Veterans Concert on Saturday night at Festival Hall could be a building block for future similar shows. The concert was put on by the Robbie Dean Centre with proceeds going to support the Pembroke and Petawawa Legions. Vice Chair of the Robbie Dean Centre Ian Kuehl tells myFM that for the first of it’s kind, it was a great turnout.

Keuhl also tells myFM that they will look at what worked and what didn’t before planning next years show.

Jay Baker, the Fundraising Coordinator for the Robbie Dean Centre mentions that the bands that took part really enjoyed the experience and look forward to helping veterans once again down the road.
